SCHWING assumes responsibility - in the design, development and realization of products and services, in the planning and construction of company buildings and in the careful selection of suitable employees as well as for their targeted training and further education. The following explanations demonstrate this high ambition:
As an owner-managed family business, we attach particular importance to the well-being and development of our employees. Their commitment, experience and qualifications are our most valuable assets and are crucial to our success. That is why SCHWING continuously encourages and challenges them and offers comprehensive training and further education opportunities. Many employees take part in further training courses or complete a degree on the side.
In addition to the extensive training opportunities, SCHWING offers its employees numerous social benefits such as a company pension plan or capital-forming benefits. The company bike leasing offered to everyone promotes healthy exercise and environmentally friendly trips to work. There is preventative health promotion and flexible working time models are possible. We create a family-like working environment in which our employees feel valued and supported.
SCHWING relies on German engineering skills in design and production. We develop customized solutions that meet the highest environmental and quality requirements. In addition to the energy efficiency of our systems, we pay attention to the use of high-quality materials and robust constructions to ensure a long service life. We therefore also focus on “Quality Made in Germany” for our suppliers.
SCHWING mainly offers electrically operated systems instead of gas-fired systems. This reduces emissions and heat losses, which significantly reduces the environmental footprint compared to conventional systems. Therefore, only a power and water connection is required to operate many of our systems. All our systems have catalytic off-gas cleaning or thermal afterburning to prevent pollutant emissions and improve exhaust air quality
Our holistic approach to design and production reflects our commitment to the highest quality and sustainability. This is also confirmed by our ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management and ISO 14001:2015 certification for environmental management, for which SCHWING is regularly audited. We are proud to offer our customers reliable and environmentally conscious solutions and to help them solve their problems in a sustainable way.
As a constantly growing and environmentally conscious company, SCHWING uses modern production halls and office buildings. Even in the planning phase of new buildings, attention is paid to the use of sustainable materials and high energy efficiency. Existing buildings are always adapted to the current state of the art in order to save energy and ensure their long-term preservation.
We also rely on energy-efficient solutions for the air conditioning and lighting of our workspaces. The energy required is generated by our own photovoltaic systems, which are located on the roofs of our company buildings. Our production and our cleaning service are also supplied with self-generated electricity. In summer, we are often completely self-sufficient during the day and can feed energy into the grid.
In addition to the company buildings, SCHWING also has numerous green spaces which, in addition to preserving biodiversity, serve as recreational areas for our employees.
SCHWING is proud not only to develop innovative solutions, but also to make a positive contribution to our community. That is why we are actively involved in our city and support local initiatives. SCHWING also sponsors the local sports club with a focus on young people, as well as charity projects in developing countries.
Many of our employees as well as the management are involved on a voluntary basis in various areas, be it with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, with environmental protection, with the voluntary fire department or with charitable events.
SCHWING works closely with higher education institutions and universities to initiate research projects and gain access to the latest scientific findings. Together with scientists and students, we develop new technologies and solutions and promote the transfer of knowledge between theory and practice. This inspires our innovation processes and contributes to the further development of our products. Both our engineers and students benefit from the interdisciplinary collaboration. We also offer students practical phases and thesis work within our company. Many of our employees came into contact with SCHWING for the first time in this way and began their professional careers with us after completing their studies.

The management system includes both the prevention and rapid rectification of errors. We see recognized errors as an opportunity to introduce improvements in order to continuously develop our company.
When dealing with environmental problems, we follow the precautionary principle and are proactive in protecting the environment. This is why SCHWING is audited and advised by an external certification body in accordance with ISO 14001:2015. SCHWING pursues a holistic approach in order to integrate environmental protection into all business areas. This includes not only production, but also the supply chain, the development process and disposal. Through this comprehensive approach, we actively contribute to sustainability and the protection of our environment.
