Comprehensive special knowledge and proven system solutions in heat treatment and the thermal cleaning of metal parts, especially high-temperature know-how in fluidized bed process technology and the continuous improvement of the control and automation technology in regard to user comfort and environmental compatibility represent only some of the chief benefits SCHWING contributes to a customer relationship.
We are committed to finding the best and preferred solution for any customer request or production equipment in regard to the specific application, the material used and the respective production process - all based on state-of-the-art German engineering.
The consulting and planning staff of SCHWING combines over almost since 50 years of engineering and application experience across different processes. This is manifested in industry-specific consulting competency such as for the plastics, fiber, automotive and chemical industry as well as in utmost precision, care and sustainability with plant design, plant construction, assembly and operation.
In addition, independence from specific technologies uniquely enables SCHWING to offer the best respective equipment or system solution from an economical and ecological aspect to each customer. This applies to both the engineering of individual devices or systems and the planning, development and realization of complete cleaning centers.
When developing our equipment and plants we focus on a system design with maximum effectiveness to significantly increase the economy of existing or new production systems and processes through time, energy, space and manpower savings. Principle aspects such as environmental stipulations, installation prerequisites, conveying and loading technology as well as after-treatment processes are taken into account with each plant design at an early stage.
According to the tools and parts to be cleaned or treated SCHWING develops customized system solutions with maximum sustainability together with and for customers from the international plastics and fiber industry.
SCHWING plans and builds "Turn-key Cleaning Shops" - complete turn-key cleaning centers where a variety of cleaning and after-treatment equipment can be installed according to customer demand.
Cleaning centers from SCHWING enable producers from the plastics and fiber industry to immediately perform perfect cleaning of their tools and components and optimize the economy of their production systems.
With the turn-key system design principle aspects such as environmental stipulations, installation prerequisites, conveying and loading equipment as well as after-treatment processes are taken into account both early and comprehensively. Matching the cleaning center with the production process and the process-specific return of the various cleaned products to the production flow play an important role in particular.
SCHWING supports its customers worldwide with the setup planning and commissioning of the delivered plants. Principal aspects such as energy supply, environmental stipulations and other installation requirements are comprehensively taken into account at an early stage.
SCHWING builds process-technology systems with numerous plant-specific and process parameters the compliance of which is essential for the intended use of the plants.
Education and training of the operating personnel is conducted during commissioning of the plant delivered. The targeted training of the operating personnel is very important, in addition to basic technical orientation. Apart from handling the “hardware” and the required environmental protection and safety aspects the operators also learn, for example, about the relationship between partial quantities, types of contamination and types of polymers enabling them to assess these factors.
For questions regarding running plantoperation, the SCHWING service team is available by phone, e-mail, as well as remote support and augmented reality workflows.
In the framework of its worldwide customer services, SCHWING guarantees its customers the fastest possible supply of spare parts and the global availability of highly qualified service technicians for maintenance and repair work.
SCHWING generally recommends maintaining the cleaning systems after 2,000 operating hours or after one year. Subscribing to a maintenance contract ensures that the systems are properly serviced, extends the device warranty and thus helps to minimize the risk of failure.
In the event of a repair, SCHWING customer service helps with 'Remote Expert Support' using modern augmented reality solutions. Multilingual service technicians are also available for immediate, worldwide deployment.
The possibilities of SCHWING's worldwide 'Remote Expert Support' go well beyond pure "voice only" calls: In the event of a fault, the 'After Sales & Service' employees can be reached in real time and, after an initial problem analysis, decide whether the diagnosis and elimination of a fault should possibly be continued with the help of a professional augmented reality solution (Oculavis Share). This digital service enable SCHWING can reduce downtime and repair costs at the customers, as ideally the on-site deployment of a service technician becomes unnecessary.
In case your own cleaning system is not a good economic investment, for more than 30 years, and now at several locations worldwide, SCHWING has been providing demand-optimized cleaning services, including the associated logistics services. For example, at this time more than 250,000 workpieces are now being cleaned each year at the SCHWING Cleaning Centers according to top quality and environmental standards and reintegrated into the production process of the customer.
A variety of fluidized bed reactors is available for contract production. Reactor sizes from 6 to 120 liters useful volume of different design parameters can be used for the production of up to one ton of material. Larger quantities are possible upon arrangement.
At SCHWING the know-how transfer to the customer begins with free testing offered in the early phase of a project. These tests are preferably performed in the presence of the future customer; different systems are presented to them and individual solutions proposed.
Electrically or gas-heated (vacuum) pyrolysis and fluidized bed systems with application temperatures up to 530 °C are available for trials of thermal cleaning of metal parts. In addition, the complete range of accessories such as tool-specific loading baskets, afterburner systems, after-treatment equipment (e.g. ultrasound) and devices for quality testing can be extensively examined and tested here.
Customers and interested parties are invited to bring their own parts and tools, contaminated with polymer, along. “Their” optimal cleaning method is determined with the help of our engineers and process technicians.
In the area of fluidized bed process technology SCHWING has various lab equipment units and high-temperature DIP and scale-up reactors with a volume up to 120 liters available for fluidization tests and pilot tests up to 1100 °C. Several fluidized bed systems are also available for targeted heating, heat treatment and quenching tests.
The unique temperature uniformity of the SCHWING fluidized bed systems facilitates, in addition, an extremely precise and exact to reproduce high-temperature application, for example, for the calibration of temperature sensors and thermal instruments (+/- 0.15 °C).
The unique temperature uniformity of the SCHWING fluidized bed systems facilitates an extremely precise and exact to reproduce high-temperature application, as is required, for example, for special thermo-chemical conversions of solid particles via reaction gases or for the calibration of temperature sensors and thermal instruments.
SCHWING has various lab equipment units and high-temperature fluidized bed systems with a volume up to 120 liters and temperatures up to 1050 °C available for heating, hardening and quenching tests.
